Setup a Livestream event

    1. Navigate to the Business portal , click on Add videos and select Create Livestream Event
    2. Select the Event mode and enter the title, date, time, and time zone for your livestream event. You also have the option to add the video directly to a playlist.
    3. Choose the display Orientation for your Livestream video based on how you want it to appear during the event. Select vertical or Horizontal
    4. Select the Media Source for the Livestream Event. Use external source instead of the Firework Camera App if you intend to film your Livestream using a third-party application/equipment.You can also select the Media asset if you wish to play your pre-recorded video for the livestreams. Select the video you want to use for your event and upload it by clicking on the "Choose a video" button. Click on Create once done 
    5. For Media assets you can select the Start type for manual start, click the Go Live button at the top right of the screen to start the stream. If you select auto-start, the stream will start at the scheduled time automatically.

    6. On the event detail page, you can add a description and announcement banner. You also have the option to make changes to the date and time by clicking on the edit icon next to the time, then click on update to save the changes. Once you're done, click on Save changes.
    7. Then, click on the Product tab on the left side to add products for your livestream. Select the store and add the products you want to showcase during the event. For more detailed guidance on setting up a store, please refer this
    8. Under the Chat section, you can customize the chat settings by turning them on or off. 

      Custom Blocklist -  you can input specific words or phrases that you wish to be blocked from appearing in the chat during your live event stream. Remember to click on Save changes once you have made your adjustments.

    9. Interactions - You have the option to include various interactions for your event and pin them during the livestream.
      1. Question card = Type in a question you want to ask the viewers and collect their responses. You can also toggle the Collect responder's email button to ON to prompt the viewer to enter their email address after answering your question.
      2. Poll =  Enter the poll question in the Your question here box followed by entering the answer choices in each Choice box (e.g., Choice 1, Choice 2). Click +Add Choice to add up to five total choices.
      3. Setup the Giveaway by giving it a NameDescription, and adding a link to the Terms & Conditions (if applicable). Select Save. All the added interactions will be displayed here

    10. Trailers - Utilize a trailer to provide your audience with a sneak peek of your upcoming livestream. This trailer will play before the live event starts and before viewers enter the stream. You have the option to upload a new video or select from existing short videos to create an engaging preview.
    11. You can also select the trailer overlay option to customize your event trailer with an Email reminder, Button or product card for your livestream event.
      • Email Reminder: Shoppers can enter their email and request reminders before the event. 
      • Product Card: If you have a store linked to your Firework account, you can include the product information here in the Livestream Event trailer (see Import Products from Your OMS to Your Firework Account). Select your store in the Store drop-down menu, select the product(s) you want to add by clicking the checkbox next to the product(s), and click Add.
      • Button: The CTA, or Call to Action, is a button that requests users click it. By entering a link in the RSVP field, users will be able to click it and RSVP to the livestream event.

    12. Thumbnails -  you can upload a customized photo -- in 9x16 for vertical format or a 16:9 for horizontal format -- that will be the thumbnail for your Livestream Event video. Animated poster can be chosen from the livestream trailer. Otherwise, Firework has a default poster that will appear as your thumbnail. Click on Save changes once done.
    13. AI co-pilot - Activate this option if you want to utilize an AI Co-Pilot to moderate your live events and interact with viewers in real-time. Here is the step by step guide to set up AI co-pilot 
    14. Simulcast - Expand your event's reach by streaming it simultaneously on multiple social platforms. The links included can assist you in setting up Multi-stream

    15. Under Settings tab you can enter the Primary URL for the livestream. This is the page on which you'll be embedding the Livestream event.
      • If you have other websites that add this stream to their channel, this URL will direct any users who click on the poster to the included URL. This ensures that your analytics will be consolidated, and any products will be purchased from your store.
    16. Hashtags, enter the hashtags that you want to attach to your video. Remember, hashtags are meta tags that are added to videos to group them into campaigns, topics, or reports. You can add upto 150 hashtags 
    17. Auto Archive- Archived videos will be hidden in the player but not removed from playlist. Archiving takes place at 12:01 AM on the date you select. For more information on this feature, please visit this - Link
    18. Display -Adjust the display settings by  toggling it on or off. Save changes once done

      Replay when livestream ends -When enabled, viewers can immediately replay the livestream once it ends.
      Show viewer count - Displays the total number of live viewers currently watching the livestream. This number updates in real time.
      Show like count  - When the “Show like count” option is activated in the CMS for a livestream, the video player will display the total number of likes the livestream has received, updating this count in real time.
      Show live transcription - Enables real-time captions during the livestream, enhancing accessibility for viewers. 

    19. You can view the livestream analytics under Insights tab. Click on Go live 
    20. Access Assistant mode and Host Tablet by clicking on the tabs at the top right of the screen.
    21. View Co-hosts - You can send an email invitation to your Live Stream Co-hosts, allowing them to start the livestream directly from their browser without requiring an account.
    22. To view all upcoming livestreams, simply click on the "Livestream Events" tab located on the left side of the screen. Your newly created event will appear on your calendar, allowing you to easily track and manage your Livestream and scheduled restreams. Clicking on it will open the event detail page. 


    23. View the status of events by selecting them from the list of upcoming, currently live, or already ended events and access Assistant mode directly by simply clicking on it.


    24. Use the Smart Restream Scheduler to easily schedule restreams of your existing video content. Automate the process, select multiple original livestreams, set time slots, and configure AI Copilot options for enhanced audience engagement.

You can only add a simulcast up to five minutes before the start of the Livestream Event
