Simulcast with an Instagram Business Account:

  •  If you are on a professional account, Instagram has released Live Producer. This allows you to go generate a stream key and URL within Instagram to then stream through Firework. Information on this can be found here.
  • Instagram frequently updates the stream key, so it is advisable to generate a new one shortly before going live, ideally within the last 30 minutes.
  1. From the Instagram Live Producer, create your Live Video on Instagram. Enter in the title and description, then select "Public".

  2. Under Add live video details, select "Go live with streaming software". Copy the Stream key and Stream URL, then navigate back to the Livestream event in the business portal and paste these.

Note : When this window is open and you use the stream key, do not close it; closing the window will result in losing the stream key.

3. When ready to stream, select Go Live in the business portal. Navigate back to Live Producer and click "Go live" as well. Once your stream has ended, be sure to end the stream in Instagram and then your business portal.

Points to remember

  • To edit or delete your Instagram Multi-stream, click the three dots to the right of the Instagram box in the business Portal
  • Do not refresh or close the browser as the stream key is not static, and will refresh each time you use Live Producer.
  • There will be a delay of approximately 30 to 40 seconds when streaming from Firework to social media, so the broadcast will not go live immediately.
  • After approximately 30 to 40 seconds, a preview of your live event will appear on Instagram. Please note that this preview does not automatically transition to a live broadcast. To ensure your event is visible to viewers, you must manually click "Go Live" to officially start streaming on Instagram.
