Users can configure automated syncs for their Firework business to ensure catalog consistency.
1. Enable Auto-Sync Option
On the Import via Google XML page, you can choose to enable the Auto-Sync option.
-
To activate, toggle the “Enable Auto-Sync” switch.
-
If you choose not to enable Auto-Sync, catalog imports will remain manual.
-
Once enabled, the Auto-Sync configuration options will appear in the “Import via Google XML” modal.
2. Data Persistence
With Auto-Sync enabled, key information is retained to streamline future syncs:
- The Google Feed XML URL and notification email address will auto-populate based on your most recent import.
- If you modify either field, all upcoming auto-sync processes will automatically reflect your updated values.
3. Set Frequency (Hours)
Once Auto-Sync is enabled, you can select your preferred feed refresh interval: Every 12 hours or Every 24 hours
The system will then automatically initiate syncs at the interval you choose, keeping your catalog up to date without manual intervention.
4. Display Last Sync Status
After enabling Auto-Sync, the Import via Google XML page displays the timestamp of the most recent successful sync, allowing you to easily confirm when your catalog was last updated.
5. Display Next Scheduled Sync
You’ll also see the date and time of the next scheduled sync, based on your selected frequency.
This ensures visibility into when the next catalog refresh will occur.
6. Error Handling & Notifications
If an auto-sync fails:
-
The system sends a product import error email to the configured notification address.
-
An error banner will appear at the top of the Products page.
