Use Dynamic Content to render playlists for targeted audiences
Create a Cohort in the Business Portal
If you haven’t already created your playlist, you’ll need to do so before you create a cohort.
Note: Dynamic Content will work on any CMS.
- Navigate to the Firework Business Portal.
- In the navigation menu on the left side of the page, click on the channel for which you want to create your playlist.
- Click Dynamic Content.
- Click Create Cohort.
5. You’ll need to enter information in the respective Cohort Name, Category, and Country fields. Select the customers that you want to target under Target Audience (enter the values in the Customer Segment field if you only want to target specific customers). In my example, I want to target customers in the Midwest region so I will enter customer_midwest. Search for and select your playlist in the Playlist field.
6. Click Save.
7. Go back into the Business Portal and select Generate Tag.
8. From there, you can select your desired playlist layout as well as your desired parameters. Once your layout has been selected, copy the code.
9. Once the code has been copied, navigate to your store and paste the embed code.
10. After you have pasted the embed code, remove the variable and replace it with your targeted audience variable. In my example, I will enter “customer_midwest”
11. That playlist will now render for your targeted audience. In the above example, the playlist will render for customers in the Midwest region.
